Session Summary:

Most of us naturally listen to others while thinking of what we are going to say in response when they’ve finished talking. This training session will explain what truly engaged listening looks like, and how it can improve communication and understanding. We’ll utilize visual demonstration examples in this session to show the difference that is made when one person is truly engaged in listening to another, as well as discuss what to do when listening seems a very difficult thing to do.

Goals & Objectives:

1          Participants will gain an understanding of how to listen in an engaged manner;

2          Participants will be able to identify the differences in communication and understanding when engaged listening occurs vs. when it doesn’t;

3          Participants will be able to identify techniques to improve their own engaged listening skills.
