Mental Health Moment | Views from the Peak

Oct 10, 2021

How far can you see? Imagine yourself as you go through your day, driving in your car, sitting in your office or being wherever you do your work each day, talking with your family & friends, eating, etc. How far ahead are you looking? To get anywhere, you need to first picture that place you want to be. If you wanted to climb Pike's Peak you wouldn't just leave your front door and start walking, hoping to get there and get to the top. You'd make a plan.. and you'd envision yourself standing at the top of the peak. You'd probably also think of the possible obstacles along the way, gather the assets you have that will help you on your way, and once you've planned it start to finish, you'd implement your plan. And then.. the climb.. and then.. the successful reach to the top. But if you're not picturing yourself getting somewhere, you're not making plans, and you aren't guiding your path & your steps, where do you think you might end up? Try seeing just how far you can see... where do you see yourself? How will you get there? What will it feel like to get there when you do?
