Mental Health Moment | Motivators
Feb 19, 2023We don't all approach work or life the same way. Different motivators get us moving and push us to get things done. What is it for you? If you need feedback and communication, look for ways to achieve that, and build new paths for sending and receiving communication. If you're someone who usually gets assignments from someone else to keep you on track, start setting your own daily goals, and set small rewards for yourself for checking things off the list.
If you have downtime, how do you use it? Think of all the things you've previously said you wished you had time to do, and start doing those. Clean, organize, learn a language, start up a hobby, give more time to checking in with friends and family that you've missed. Read books, learn things. Exercise. Paint a room. Repair broken things. Learn things that will make you better at your job, or at your parenting, or at your relationships. Use your time well, and at the end of the day, acknowledge your achievements.
Growing, and learning, will keep you motivated and feeling energized and positive. Make the effort, use the time well, and end up with a great sense of accomplishment!
