Mental Health Moment | Integrate vs. Isolate

We need others. As much as you may like to think, "I've got this," life is just easier when we have others around us who can listen to us, encourage us, prop us up, keep us in line, and remind us that we matter. When going through a phase of struggles or challenges, it's sometimes human nature to pull back, and withdraw, so that others don't know we aren't doing awesome like we feel we should be. But this is the time when it's most important to have others around, to talk to someone, to find support & strength and a sense of belonging. Don't isolate yourself when things gets hard... integrate yourself into resources, solutions, encouragement, and strength that others can provide when you can't. And then, be that support & strength for others when it's their turn to go through a challenge.
