Mental Health Moment | Enjoying the Journey

When's the last time you went on an adventure? My grandpa used to put us in the car and hand us each a butterscotch candy, and tell us to just suck on it.. no crunching. And then he'd drive to the first intersection and flip a coin. Heads... we turned left. Tails.. we turned right. We'd drive until the candy was gone, and then turn around. There's just something about taking your time, "strolling" across country, and stopping whenever you see something interesting and taking the time to experience it, that allows us to really relax. Having a destination, and a timeline, is just one more "to-do" and one more stress added to our life. The journey is the good part. The adventure can often teach us so much more than what we'll find at our destination. Try to squeeze a little adventure into your life now and then, and add enjoyment, relaxation, and new experiences to your life .. you never know what you may find.
