Mental Health Moment | Control and Chaos

When things seem out of control, you may feel the need to take control of anything you can. So many things are out of our control, and sometimes it feels like we're just caught up in a whirlwind of chaos, with no say in anything that happens to or around us. You can control your actions and reactions, your involvement & engagement, and your words, and this is a positive control. But be careful you're not trying to control things that aren't actually good for you or your life, or that feel like power but are actually creating danger or risk. You may want to try and control people around you, but really you should only be controlling yourself. If you're feeling a loss of control, and like you're caught up in chaos, or futility, try getting a healthy control over the things you can, and should, be able to do something about. And find ways to let go of everything else.
