Mental Health Moment | 5 Minutes
May 08, 2022"Just give me 5 minutes." This usually is said as a request to be left alone, and to request someone back off. But think what a difference you could make, for yourself and someone else, if you got home, or walked in the room, and said, "Just give me 5 minutes," and the 2 of you sat down, snuggled up, said nothing, and just breathed... together. Or, "Just give me 5 minutes" to a friend or favorite coworker... sit somewhere quiet, share a snack or have some coffee, and just spend 5 uninterrupted minutes being positive and supportive. Couldn't you use 5 minutes of peace in your day?... of support?... of feeling less alone? And just as importantly... take 5 minutes to breathe deeply, relax your muscles, no talking, and feel the calm.
