Session Summary:

The words and messages we hear about ourselves can have a long-lasting effect on us and how we perceive ourselves. When others criticize us in some way, we take that message in and it becomes a part of us. This session discusses the self-fulfilling prophecy, how it works, and how to prevent and/or undo the impact that criticism can have on us.

Goals & Objectives:

1          Participants will be able to define the self-fulfilling prophecy and how it works.

2          Participants will gain an understanding of the impact words and messages have on us when received from others.

3          Participants will be able to create counter-messages to undo or prevent the impact of criticism and negative messages received.

Participants will receive a certificate of training after the session, and this training session is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
